2. Information on this website

We aim to make the information on Campervan Considered useful, practical and accurate.

However, campervans, vehicles, conversions, equipment, regulations, prices and manufacturer specifications can change.

The content on this website is therefore provided for general information and guidance rather than as a substitute for professional, technical, mechanical, legal, financial or safety advice.

You should check important information independently before making a purchase or other significant decision.

Where possible, we will identify the source of factual information and distinguish factual information from personal opinion or experience.

3. Our experiences and opinions

Some Campervan Considered content is based on our own experience of researching, buying, owning and travelling in campervans.

Our experience may not be the same as yours.

Factors including the vehicle, conversion, family circumstances, intended use, driving requirements, budget and personal preferences can all affect which option is suitable.

Our recommendations and opinions should therefore be considered as one source of information rather than a guarantee that a particular campervan, vehicle, conversion or product will be suitable for you.

4. Vehicle specifications and other factual information

We take reasonable care when publishing vehicle dimensions, specifications, prices and similar factual information.

Where appropriate, we may use information from manufacturers, government organisations, dealers or other third parties.

We cannot guarantee that third-party information will always remain current or error-free.

Before purchasing a vehicle or product, you should confirm specifications and other important information with the manufacturer, converter, dealer or other relevant provider.

5. Campervan purchase assistance

Campervan Considered may offer services designed to help people consider their requirements and evaluate possible campervan purchases.

Unless specifically agreed otherwise in writing, our role is to provide independent information and assistance with the decision-making process.

We do not normally act as:

  • a vehicle dealer;
  • a vehicle broker;
  • a mechanical engineer;
  • a vehicle inspector;
  • a finance provider;
  • an insurance adviser; or
  • a legal adviser.

Any vehicle purchase remains a contract between you and the relevant seller.

We recommend obtaining appropriate independent checks where relevant, including mechanical inspections, vehicle history checks and verification of documentation before purchasing a vehicle.

Where you purchase a paid Campervan Considered service, the scope, price and any additional terms applying to that service will be explained before you agree to purchase it.

Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer.

6. No guarantee of a particular outcome

We will exercise reasonable care and skill when providing services.

However, choosing or buying a campervan involves personal judgement and circumstances that may change over time.

We cannot guarantee that following information or recommendations from Campervan Considered will result in a particular vehicle being suitable for you, maintaining its value, being free from faults or meeting all of your future requirements.

7. Prices and purchasing services

Where we advertise a paid service, we will explain the price and what is included before you purchase.

Any applicable VAT will be identified as required.

If additional work or costs are proposed, these will be discussed with you before they are incurred.

Where consumer cancellation rights apply, details of those rights and how to exercise them will be provided as part of the purchasing process.

8. Starting a service during a cancellation period

If you ask us to begin providing a paid service during any applicable statutory cancellation period, we may ask you to expressly confirm that you would like us to start.

Where permitted by law, if you subsequently cancel after work has begun, you may be required to pay a reasonable amount for work already provided.

Your statutory consumer rights are not affected.

9. Email updates

You may choose to receive email updates from Campervan Considered.

You can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time using the unsubscribe facility included within our communications.

Information about how we use personal information is contained in our Privacy Policy.

10. Affiliate links, sponsorship and commercial relationships

Campervan Considered may occasionally include affiliate links, sponsored content, partnerships or other commercial relationships.

Where this happens, we will aim to identify the commercial relationship clearly.

An affiliate relationship means that we may receive a commission if you purchase something after following one of our links.

We aim to keep editorial opinions independent of commercial arrangements.

12. Intellectual property

Unless otherwise stated, the original content on Campervan Considered, including written material, graphics, branding, photographs, video and audio content, belongs to Campervan Considered or is used with permission.

You may view and share links to our publicly available content for personal and non-commercial purposes.

You must not reproduce, republish, sell, commercially exploit or substantially copy our original content without our prior written permission, except where permitted by law.

13. Acceptable use

You must not use this website in a way that is unlawful, fraudulent or intended to damage the website or interfere with its operation.

You must not attempt to gain unauthorised access to the website, its servers, systems or data.

14. Availability of the website

We aim to keep Campervan Considered available and functioning correctly but cannot guarantee uninterrupted availability.

We may change, suspend or remove parts of the website where reasonably necessary, including for maintenance, security or development.

15. Our responsibility to you

Nothing in these terms excludes or restricts liability where doing so would be unlawful.

In particular, these terms do not limit your statutory consumer rights or exclude liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.

We are responsible for losses that are a foreseeable result of our breach of these terms or our failure to exercise reasonable care and skill.

We are not responsible for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable, were not caused by something we did or failed to do, or arise from decisions made using information that you should reasonably have independently verified.

If you use Campervan Considered for business purposes, we are not responsible for business losses such as loss of profit, revenue, opportunity or business interruption, except where the law provides otherwise.

16. Privacy and cookies

Your privacy is important to us.

Our Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, how it is used and your rights.

Our use of cookies and similar technologies is explained through our website's cookie information and consent controls.

17. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms occasionally to reflect changes to Campervan Considered, our services or relevant legal requirements.

The latest version will always be published on this website and will show the date on which it was last updated.

Changes will not retrospectively remove rights that you already have under an existing consumer contract.

18. If part of these terms is invalid

If a court or other competent authority determines that part of these terms is invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue to apply.

19. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

If you are a consumer resident elsewhere in the United Kingdom, you may also have rights under the laws applicable where you live.

Nothing in these terms prevents a consumer from relying on any mandatory rights relating to where they live.
